LAMpAS, MULTIPLE and KMzero teamed up to organize a meeting specifically for all interested in photonics in food industry.

Photonics has been growing a major role for the food industry under different aspects. In-line and online monitoring systems for optimization, increase of throughput and reduction of waste are for example fundamental to make this industrial sector “greener”. Laser-based technologies, robotics, automation strategies and big data are also gaining more relevance for the food industry, which sometimes does not know, yet the full potential of photonics. Let’s discuss the needs and challenges of the food industry with few actors in the field supported by the KMZERO food innovation hub and the 2 EU-funded initiatives LAMpAS and MULTIPLE, delivering ideal solutions for the food sector based on photonics.
