WEBINAR: Photonics for Steel Manufacturing & Processing

8 September 2021 from 15:00 to 16.30 CEST

Link to the recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAf2PQ9LZOo

MULTIPLE and LAMpAS team up to organise a meeting specifically for all involved in steel manufacturing and processing. Join to hear about the multi-modal monitoring solutions and the possibilities for laser-based metal surface functionalization.

In a one-hour webinar, you will hear about the different capabilities that MULTIPLE and LAMpAS, two projects that are funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, have to offer for the steel manufacturing and processing industry and their end-users.

MULTIPLE offers solutions to optimise the furnace combustion, control the furnace temperature and monitor the real temperature of the slab in the rolling mill. LAMpAS is building the first laser system for high-throughput, low-cost production of surface with controlled topographic characteristics. MUTLIPLE can also support the monitoring of different laser-based processes, such as surface structuring itself, but also laser beam welding and additive manufacturing.

After the webinar there will be a networking opportunity on the wonder.me platform, where you can connect with the speakers and other professionals in the industry.
