Photonfocus was founded in 2001 as Spinoff from the Swiss research centre CSEM. Since its foundation, the company is focused exclusively on CMOS vision technology. Photonfocus develops high speed HDR CMOS image sensors with multi tap outputs and global shutter, based on its own patented LinLog® technology. With the LinLog® CMOS image sensors and third-party Low-Light CMOS image sensors, Photonfocus industrial CMOS cameras cover a wide application field in machine vision and in optical metrology. Offering its customers a wide range of cameras to fulfil the needs of the most demanding needs in ultra-low light, HDR, hyperspectral, SWIR and high speed imaging.
Photonfocus AG headquarters is located in Lachen SZ (Switzerland) which consists in 4 offices of total 950 square meters respectively for the design of all camera parts (software, firmware & hardware including mechanics) and to mount and test the cameras.
